The European Students' Union (ESU) and the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) Association have agreed to work together to support students throughout Europe. As part of a memorandum of understanding, ISIC has agreed to assist ESU in promoting the interests of students, and its work to support national unions of students throughout Europe.

In return ESU has agreed to endorse the ISIC Card as official and internationally accepted proof of full-time student status.  ISIC card holders are given access to preferential goods and services internationally that help students meet their educational objectives and support them in their day-to-day life.

ISIC cards are already distributed by national student unions and ESU members in Finland, France, the United Kingdom and Estonia. By ISIC and ESU working together the aim is to expand the cooperation between national student unions and ISIC to more countries.

Allan Päll, ESU Vice-Chairperson, and Martijn van de Veen, ISIC General Manager said that the agreement will provide more benefits for students and allow student unions increased financial independence.

Van de Veen said: "Our partnership with ESU further strengthens ISICs position of official proof of student status and opens the door to further development of appealing services and benefits for today's student. Through ESU members, we expect to reach more students throughout Europe and give them access to the many unique advantages the ISIC card has to offer".

Päll added: "Our cooperation with ISIC will make it easier for students to make ends meet, be it in on their own campus or while travelling abroad. "

歐洲學生聯盟和國際學生證協會就支持所有在歐洲的學生達成合作協定。ISIC同意協助ESU促進和提高學生的利益，並支持歐洲當地的學生聯盟。

同時，ESU也將ISIC卡視為官方和國際上認可的全職學生身份的證明。在國際上，ISIC卡可以使持有者享受購物和服務的優惠，#500;明學生實現教育目標，並支援他們的日常生活。

在卡芬蘭、法國、英國和愛沙尼亞，全國性的學生組織和ESU成員已經發行和使用ISIC卡。

ISIC和ESU合作的目的在於同更多國家的學生組織建立合作關係。

ESU副主席Allan Päll和ISIC總經理Martijn van de Veen指出這一協議將為學生帶來更多的利益，並增加學生聯盟的經濟獨立能力。
