The Center is adjacent to the Hong Kong Macao Ferry Terminal and Fisherman’s Wharf at the south-eastern corner of the Macao peninsula surrounded by water in three sides. Together with the Macao Cultural Center, Macao Museum of Art and other attractions it forms one of the largest cultural and entertainment zones in Macao. It is a new landmark of Macao and an ideal place for science education or family activities. The exhibitions provide knowledge-oriented, scientific and interesting interactive exhibits that allow visitors to explore science in a hands-on way. The Planetarium is awarded the Guinness World Record as the highest resolution 3D planetarium in the world. It is installed with a set of ultra high-definition digital projectors and a dome-shaped screen. Wearing specially made glasses, the audience can enjoy a 3D journey travelling freely in space and time, or view the newest 2D and 3D dome shows.
